Ceaser is one of the most common and easiest salad to prepare. Caesar salad originally comes from Italy but is popular all over the world. The main ingredients are: romaine lettuce, sauce, crouton, and parmesan cheese. Aside from the basic components caeser is often enriched with chicken, anchois and sometimes even with bacon or egg. Due to the fact that for us meat remains the main part of our diet we cannot imagine this salad without our pastrami. We enjoy experimenting with our beef brisket so we suggest to swap chicken or bacon with our meat. We gave it a try and it turned out to be delicious. Check it out for yourself!

Ingredients

  • steamed pastrami slices 50g
  • romaine lettuce
  • parmesan cheese
  • cherry tomatoes
  • baguette

Anchois sauce

  • 1 spoon mayonnaise
  • half of garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon caper
  • 10g Anchois
  • 1 spoon 30% cream
  • salt and pepper for taste

 

Method

Cut baguette into slices, add a few drops of olive oli and bake around 7 minutes in oven warmed up to 200oC or fry on the pan on hot olive oil with both sides until they get brown.

Wash and dry romaine lettuce, mix with anchois sauce and put on plate. Cut cherry tomatoes in halves and add to the lettuce. Warm up steamed pastrami slices at the pan for around 5 minutes with a bit of water, then add the meat to the other ingredients on the plate. Slice or grate parmesan cheese and add it the salad. Use crouton as a decoration for prepared dish.
